The Flagstone Paving Calculator is a tool designed to help individuals determine the number of flagstones needed for paving a specific area. This calculator takes into account the length and width of the pavement area, the size of the flagstones, and the joint width to estimate the number of flagstones required. The calculator counts two types of flagstones: inner flagstones and perimeter flagstones. Inner flagstones are those that are utilized 100%, whereas perimeter flagstones are those that are partially utilized. Additionally, the calculator also considers the gap on each side of the pavement area.
The number of perimeter flagstones can be divided by two, as in most cases one flagstone can be used twice to fill the perimeter. However, it is important to consider a small reserve of flagstones, as flagstones may incur damage during the paving process. The result of the calculation is the estimated number of flagstones needed, taking into account the size of the pavement area, the size of the flagstones, and the joint width.
